Description: The Throat Chakra, associated with the thyroid gland, is the source of energy to the entire neck and jaw area (includes mouth, teeth, and tongue) nourishing the deep brain and brain stem and is the center that governs our creative expression as well as our physical and spiritual will power. Problems with suppressed anger and tears lodged at the back of the neck and at the front of the throat lead to blockages in the Throat Chakra causing colds, flu, tonsillitis, laryngitis, fevers, swelling, headaches, throat irritations, sinus and nose problems.  A healthy Throat Chakra promotes the creation of devotional and mystical ideas, self-expression, articulate speech, sincerity and truthfulness.
